If You Read My Work, Please Note...
I LEFT FACEBOOK AND INSTAGRAM YEARS AGO but META still took my latest book, Your Birthday, an astrology and Tarot book written with Rachel Wells - for its AI or Artificial Intelligence.
This brief feature explains why I do not permit any AI training on my astrology and Tarot, my oracles and horoscopes.
It also explains the limits of that work. So let’s be clear - at my Substack here, at The Astrology and Tarot Show on Substack (and the podcast - you cannot pirate my voice) and on YouTube (hands off my video) - any AI ‘training is prohibited.
I’m with Kate Bush, Thom York, Roger Daltrey and other musicians who refuse to accept AI ‘training’ on their work. Most authors and writers I know, are. It took Rachel Wells and I a long time to write Your Birthday. Mark Zuckerberg can keep his hands off (Below: Your Birthday launch at Fullers’ Bookshop, Hobart, February 2025).

Facebook parent company Meta (Mark Zuckerberg’s mega-corporation) used a pirated database of more than 7 million books and 81 million academic papers to train its Meta AI model.
More than one of my astrology books is there. Including the new one. They also used a pirated copy of the War Child charity anthology Girls’ Night In (I was a team editor on the series). I’ll just repeat that, a charity anthology. In aid of children in war zones. The series, which included a spin-off called Kids’ Night In, featured everyone from J.K.Rowling to Stella McCartney. It was never intended to ‘train’ anything except young minds in children’s libraries.

And since you’re here, my work is for information and entertainment lately. I’ve seen some barmy assumptions lately, about my psychic astrology online and in the media. So shall we get a few things straight again, for people who want me to tell them what to do? Thank you.
Basically, my psychic astrology is like a painting (below: Anna Johnson’s beautiful watercolours for my new lifetime horoscopes, launching for 2026).
You mix the paint. I supply the colours. You come up with the finished work. That’s your interpretation, from the raw materials I pass on to you.

And to the greedy AI corporations using our work without permission (or even our knowledge) - Uranus in Gemini is coming for you. Get ready.
Go Girl - i really do not understand how they can get away with it ? Nobody should have their work stolen by these platforms. I really hope we can see an end to their greed and arrogance.
America leans on fair use/ fair dealing only when it's capitalistically convenient for them. They can ban your book from a public or school library but use it to train money-generating AI.
